How do we make the face mask holder or extender?
Arete bows are made with several combinations of materials such as gross grain ribbons, satin ribbon and textiles. Every Arete bows are hand made with passion, and it is often combined with beads accessories.
This Arete Fashion mask holder or face mask extender is hand made with high-quality gross grain ribbons that have thick horizontal fibres texture. The stiffness of the ribbon makes it the perfect complement to any bow designs. Grosgrain ribbon is made from a combination of cotton, polyester and fibre. The material is an ideal medium for crafting, and it is wildly popular for making hair bows. The mask extenders are color fast and washable. Just put some soap and run the water over the tap and leave it to dry and re-use it the next day if you find the bow dirty.
Arete face mask extender back is made from strong acrylic plexiglass. The acrylic back extender is designed specifically by us with a safe and easy to wear idea. Arete face mask extender is easy to use, and it is very fashionable. There are 3 slot extension adjustable to fit any head.

The story of the creation of the face mask holder for head
Arete Face Mask Holder was officially introduced to the market in May 18th 2020. The product was created by our founder during the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic Outbreak. The idea of the product was initially started off when she realizes the lack of protection provided by the face mask due to the gap between the cheeks.
Alternate solutions were taken into consideration, but it was unable to satisfy certain criteria’s.
{1} It was uncomfortable to wear the mask holder on the head;
{2} It lacked a sense of fashion;
The initial design of the product was invented in co-relations with her hobby in designing ribbon bows. The face mask is always seen as a piece of equipment used by the general public in terms of protecting oneself from a virus or dust particles. No consideration was taken into place as for it to be eye-catching.
While thinking of the idea, our founder thought of the following complications: Why does everyone treat face mask as an indication of illness? Is there a solution which could brighten up the atmosphere? If only there were a product that would enable someone to both to appreciate fashion and be protected by the virus.
The concept of the product was for it to be comfortable as well as it to be fashionable. The ear loop of the 3 ply face mask was stretched needed for the mask to be sealed onto the face securely. When measured, different mediums such as soft wire or elastic strings were used but could not resolve the discomfort. The first successful attempt was to use wooden stencils. Custom wooden engraved stencils were used to hold the product. The idea of using a wooden product is that it indicates a sign of nature. A prototype made of acrylic is then created as it gives a modern sensation. After securing a sturdy medium, Unique homespun ribbon bows were attached to the holder. The name the final product we label the name “Arete Fashion Face Mask Holder”.
Aim of Design:
Wood : Wooden product has always resembled trees in Nature. With humans terraforming the earth and fewer trees in the world, it's great to have at least a peace of nature side with you at all times, reminding you that tomorrow will be a better day.
Acrylic : With the emergence of Holographic and crystal- cleared fashion products, Acrylic may be the next best alternative to replace those items. Its crystal clear coating and sturdiness of the product stipulates its durability and quality of the product, hence unique enough to catch-ones-eye.
